Bright Future Consultants can initially get an offer letter for students without bank statements but for the University to issue a CAS (Confirmation Acceptance for studies) which is also knows as visa letter, students must provide bank statement. The amount of fund required for tuition fee and living cost should be in the account for at least 28 days period.

Any amount you use for maintenance (tuition fees and living costs) must be in your account for a consecutive period of 28 days. During the 28-day period this amount should not drop below the required amount for even 1 day or you will not meet the Home Office requirements and your application will be refused.

There are two types of offer letters from Universities, called “Conditional” and “Unconditional”.

Conditional offer means you have been accepted by the University/College if you complete this (the condition). i.e. when a student is offered a conditional offer letter, it means there is a condition that the student must fulfil for his/her CAS letter to be issued. This can be an IELTS test, bank statement or any other educational document/s.

An unconditional offer letter is like a final acceptance letter. It signifies that a student has been accepted by the University or College, since the student met the academic requirements. When a student is offered unconditional offer letter, it means the student has fulfilled all the requirements and there are no further documents required for his/her CAS letter to be issued.

A CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) is an important electronic document issued by the university in support of the student application for a student visa. The CAS letter is typically issued after you have accepted an unconditional offer from the university or college and have paid the required deposit to secure your place in the program. The letter includes details such as your personal details, course of study, study duration and a unique CAS number.

You cannot apply for a student visa without the CAS letter. A CAS makes up 30 points of your total 40 points requirement for a Tier 4 UK Student visa.

IELTS is a test of all four language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. You will take the Listening, Reading and Writing tests all on the same day one after the other. For the Speaking test, you will be given a slot to come for a face-to-face interview on a different day.

IELTS Listening test (30 minutes)You will have to listen to four recordings and then answer the questions asked. The recordings are of native English speakers and the duration of the test is 30 minutes.
IELTS Reading test (60 minutes)The IELTS Reading test requires you to answer 40 questions and is designed to test you on an array of reading skills. You would have to read for gist, main ideas, details, logical arguments, skimming, and figuring out the writers’ attitudes, opinions and intentions.
IELTS Writing test (60 minutes)The IELTS writing test requires you to complete two tasks and covers topics of general interest based on the module you are taking.
IELTS Speaking Test (11-14 minutes)The IELTS Speaking test assesses your spoken English skills. The test is recorded and conducted in three parts.

The UK traditionally offers three year of undergraduate degrees and one-year masters programmes at its universities.
The tuition fee in the UK depends on many factors.
  • The university you choose
  • Level of higher education you’re enrolled at
  • Length of the programme or course
  • Tuition fees vary between 4 countries that comprise the UK: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Students will normally need to pay a deposit of the total tuition fees in order for the University to issue them with a “Confirmation of acceptance of studies (CAS)”.
Any payments you have made towards your tuition fees must be stated on the CAS, for example, if a student is applying for a visa to study a 1-year master’s course and:
  • Tuition Fees is £10,000
  • Student paid the £5,000 deposit to be issued with a CAS letter.
  • CAS states: Course Fees for the Year: £10,000 & Course Fees Paid so far: £5,000
Therefore, the student must have the remaining £5,000 of the tuition fee in the bank account in addition to the funds for living costs.

When applying for a Tier 4 (student visa) application you will need to submit evidence that you have enough funds to cover your tuition fees for the first academic year, as well as your living costs.
You must have enough money to support yourself while you are studying in the UK. You will need to show £1,265.00 for each month for a total of 9 months. Therefore, you must have a total of (£1,265 * 9 = £11,385.00) for your living costs. This applies only when the location of the study is in London. For outside London the monthly living cost is less than London. It is £1,025 per month
Any amount you use for maintenance (tuition fees and living costs) must be in your account for a consecutive period of 28 days. During the 28-day period this amount should not drop below the required amount for even 1 day or you will not meet the Home Office requirements and your application will be refused.
When you’re here in the UK as an International student, you can make the cost of living in the UK more affordable by taking advantage of student discounts – for example, students in London can get an 18+ Student Oyster photocard, which will give you 30 percent off travelcards in train, bus/tram season tickets. In addition students all over the country can apply for an NUS Extra Card or UniDays for a small fee which will further offer you discount buying form major supermarkets including Apple store.
